90% sangiovese, and 10% ciliegiolo, a native red variety. The fermentation temperature is very carefully controlled; after pressing off, it is racked into large oak barrels, where it rests and matures until the following spring, when it is bottled.

Palate: Full-bodied, dry.
Alcohol: 13%
